Although we have some incredible tools to understand human behavior and who we appear to be, we have yet to come to a place where we understand that any prolonged or attached idea to identity is usually nothing more than enslavement.
However interesting many self-help and spiritual disciplines may seem, the majority of them continue to perpetuate the erroneous condition of attachment to energies outside of ourselves. These attachments can be disguised as a new level, new thoughts, or new beliefs.
The real question of any self-help or spiritual discipline should be: How much more does it free an individual?
How free are you?
Freedom is not only an idea of mobility but a characteristic of independence from outside influence.
The truth is that freedom comes from non-attachment to energies outside of us.
Through recent breakthroughs, we not only have the ability to identify the erroneous self (Ego and/or Personality) but have the ability to extricate ourselves from the attachment to such identity.
The process, as difficult as it may have seemed in the past, requires only three things. These things are: 1. identification of habitual thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, 2. the release of them, and 3. the mastering of the aftereffect of such practice.
The actual and more permanent liberation from the human ego comes from the mastering of the human state of being present.
Although this practice may seem more inclined to spiritual seekers, it is an actual experience that all individuals go through whether they realize it not.
